Onur Doğan
Founder / Festival Director &
Jury Member
Onur Doğan was born in Istanbul in 1991. He graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Communication, Radio, Cinema and TV, and Marmara University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Cinema. He has been working as a director in the advertising industry since 2019 and continues to give film production and directing training at Kadıköy Cinematheque. He is also a jury member at FilmQuest and the İzmit International Short Film Festival. The director's short films, C.O.D. (2017), The Rejected (2019) and Bomba (2024), which were finalists at festivals such as Morbido Fest, LUSCA Fantastic Fest, FilmQuest, and İzmir International Short Film Festival. He is the founder and festival director of the
KORK International Horror Film Festival.

Betül Türkselçi

Betül Türkselçi, 25 years old.
She writes code during the day and follows the trail of fear at night. It all started with a “Scream”. This passion led her to the KORK festival team and being a part of this team deepened her connection with fear even more.

Ilgıt Uçum

Jury Member
Ilgıt Uçum was born in 1987 in Kars.
She graduated from the Faculty of Law at Istanbul Bilgi University. After starting her acting training at Studio Oyuncuları, she completed her Master’s degree in Film and Drama at Kadir Has University. She has appeared in projects such as Gibi,
Mahsun J, Mezarlık, Kırmızı Oda, Bahar, and Yan Yana. The short film Farklı Bir Yas, in which she played the leading role, has won various awards at national and international festivals.
In 2017, the bilingual play Türkland,
which she adapted for the stage and in which she performed as an actress, is still being staged in Germany and Turkey.
The actress, who lives in Istanbul, continues her work in television series, cinema, and theatre. She has also been a jury member of the KORK International Horror Film Festival since 2024.

Gökçe Sarıhan

Gökçe Sarıhan is an Istanbul-based film professional working internationally in development, with a focus on genre cinema. She is the executive producer of The Turkish Coffee Table (2025), directed by Can Evrenol. She collaborates with producers, distributors, and creatives worldwide, drawing on prior experience in international sales and acquisitions, and active involvement in global festivals and markets. A graduate of Hacettepe University’s American Culture and Literature program, Gökçe brings a strong structural and cultural perspective to the projects she engages with, with particular sensitivity to storytelling, narrative design, and cross-cultural resonance.

Pırıl Tatari

After completing her undergraduate degree in sociology at Ege University, she completed her MA in cinema at Marmara University in line with her passion for horror cinema. Since her research area is horror cinema and representation, she examined horror films from world cinema in her MA thesis titled Ecofeminism and Female Representation in Horror Cinema in order to show how the myth of mother nature, goddess and witchcraft play a role in the creation and maintenance of female identity. She is currently continuing her other thesis work on the relationship between horror cinema and representation as a PhD student at Marmara University Cinema Department.

Sofía Alvarez Salas

Sofía Alvarez Salas is a film critic and storyteller who approaches cinema as both a craft and a form of memory. With a background in film directing and a passion for essayistic writing, she navigates festivals and film programs with the attentive eye of someone who believes images can reveal the invisible. She has been a FIPRESCI jury member at the Berlinale (Forum 2025) and BRIFF, and has published in-depth reflections on contemporary cinema for Cinencuentro and El Diario de Almería. Her work at the Fantastic Pavilion during the Cannes Film Festival (2024 & 2025) bridges her curatorial sensibility with her talent for human connection. Based in Madrid and soon relocating to Amsterdam, Sofía continues to write, curate and interview with the conviction that every frame carries a trace of who we are and who we might become.
